Morning Preparations

When the team at Surya Wedding Films are booked to shoot a bride and groom’s morning preparations – we will typically arrive any time between 1 to 2 hours before the bride and groom are due to leave the house, to make their way to the ceremony.

During this time of the day, the team will arrive as one photographer and one videographer at the bride’s house, and the same for the groom’s house (starting the day with a team of 4).

Whilst capturing the bride and groom’s preparations, we endeavour to also capture the household itself (if at your home), or the venue where you have started your big day.  This includes the family members and their various preparations, such as food, guest arrivals, meeting and greeting, flowers and ensuring that we capture the mood of the whole family.  Building the story itself.

Through both the videography, and the photography – we will capture the bride and groom’s outfits, right down to the intricate details of the dress and jewellery.  Mixed with close ups of the application of make-up, the hair, accessories and even the customary and very special application of the groom’s turban where applicable.

Finally, we will capture the bride and groom with their family, ready to make one of the most important journeys of their lives…

When in Rome – A Pre-Wedding Concept Film Shoot

We had a fantastic trip to Rome back in December, with the lovely Indi and Amit.  As part of their pre-wedding concept shoot, our first stop with these lovely jet setters was the eternal city.  Blessed with good weather and plenty of Sunshine, we took to the Roman roads the minute our bags were put down, and proceeded to get as much as we could out of the weekend.

With plenty of pasta, wine tasting, champagne toasts and of course, walking – we were lucky enough to visit some of the most breathtaking sights, capturing some very special moments with the couple themselves along the way. And to top it all off, we were blessed to see the Pope at The Vatican!

Rome is a city we really fell in love with, and hope to return to one day.  It’s true what they say – you really need a good few days to take in all the spectacular landmarks and galleries.  A truly stunning city.

We’re looking forward to our next trip with Indi and Amit soon – Watch this space!
